Berkeley Harbor was designed to utilize the winds coming from the Golden Gate in the Spring/Summer and from North in the Fall/Winter.   Students have been learning how to sail from the Berkeley Marina since 1939.   The San Francisco Bay is one of the great sailing places in the world, a home for America’s Cup, SailGP and for those who like to race or cruise inside the protected waters of the Bay or out the Golden Gate, to adventures along that Pacific Coast and beyond.    There is a Double Tree by Hilton hotel in the Marina for those traveling here to certify and class schedules are customized 7 days per week to meet your needs.
